The Devil Within

Why do we allow ourselves to be taken over by comfortability; lackluster personality; a string of bad choices when we know the way, the truth, and the life? Looking at our past, there is a blueprint of what got us here, but still slaves to the same pattern. We succumb to our emotions with the feeling of stagnation...still; with the mentality of "this is the way of life".

Empowered by fear, we find ourselves at the place of the enemy's feet. Compromising, toxic relationships, life without a vision...walking dead. How our minds shifted; we lost our focus. From Grace, we were restored to Pride, we are chained. How far we have fallen...who is to blame?

If there is no enemy within, the enemy outside will not affect you.

Pain, anxiety, depression, fear...just a hint of utter hopelessness and a humble taste of Hades. Overwhelmed with tears in such space...crying, searching for answers. Yelling, screaming, "God, if you are real, save me." Silence...overwhelmed, shivering, overtaken by tears. The words echoed, "It's your fault" and "I'm always the problem." The burdensome got heavy, with a shattered confidence and a weakened strength. Inhumane to a level of dry bones. Unconsciously surrendered...in the presence of the devil...staring at the mirror.
